What a long stay here is actually like
A fortnight in a motel room is a different proposition to a weekend, and most of what makes it bearable is unglamorous. There's a guest laundry on site, so you're not driving into town with a bag of workwear on a Sunday. Parking is free and it's right outside the room, so tools stay where you can see them. The rooms toward the back face the garden rather than the street, which matters far more when you're doing it for three weeks than for two nights.
What we don't have is a kitchen. Every room has a bar fridge and tea and coffee, and some have a microwave — but there's no kitchenette here and we're not going to call it self-contained. There's a BBQ in the garden that gets a lot of use, and Cessnock's supermarkets and takeaways are five minutes away. For most people on a work stay that's enough; if you genuinely need to cook properly, you want a serviced apartment, not us.
The other thing worth knowing is where you'll be driving from. Kurri Kurri is fifteen minutes, Maitland twenty-five, Singleton about forty — the full list is on the nearby towns page, and it's worth two minutes of your time before you book anything in the Hunter.

We price a longer booking differently to a single night, but not from a fixed table. Ring reception with your dates and how many rooms you need and we'll work out a figure. Booking direct is always the best place to ask.
Yes — there's a guest laundry on site, which is the thing that makes a two- or three-week stay workable rather than a nuisance. Ask at reception when you arrive.

Parking is free and on site, right by your room. A ute or van is no trouble. If you're towing a trailer or bringing something oversized, mention it when you book so we can put you somewhere sensible.
Quiet. We're off the main road in Aberdare, and the rooms toward the back of the property face the garden rather than the street. Midweek is our quietest time of all.
